Lakewood Murder: Suspect Charged with Murder

LAKEWOOD, OH - Police have officially charged Jason White with Aggravated Murder in connection to the death of his wife Stacy White. Officials say White is being held without bond.

On Tuesday, police were called to a house on Plover Street for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Stacy White, 36, on a bed in the basement, shot. Her body was transported to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Jason White, 38, surrendered to police at the home on Plover Street. He was held at Lakewood City Jail.

Police were called to the scene by a man who said that his son had just shot his wife and that his son was in the house, still, with a gun. You can hear the 911 call below.

As a result of the shooting on Tuesday, and resulting investigation, Harrison Elementary School was placed on a 15-minute lockdown at approximately 9 a.m. while police investigated. Classroom instruction continued but students and staff were not allowed to leave the building.
