Tax season is upon us. The city is trying to help ease the burden of tax preparation by offering free help to residents.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The City of Lakewood is offering residents free help with preparation of municipal tax forms. Residents can stop into the Municipal Income Tax Office, with no appointment necessary, and get help with their forms. Tax returns are due by April 17, 2018.

The Municipal Income Tax office is located at 12805 Detroit Avenue. Help will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

However, since its tax season, the department is offering some extended hours to help residents that work until 5 p.m. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from March 20 until April 17, the department will be open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
