LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood officials announced this week the launch of the new Police-2-Citizen Portal. The online platform allows users to search for public safety incidents and arrests, obtain copies of crash reports and access other information.

“This important new tool will increase our already robust citizen and police relationship,” said Mayor Mike Summers. “We know that we are safer when our citizens are engaged and participating in our safety. This new tool advances our safety.”

The portal will available all day, every day, the city said. Through the platform residents can submit tips to police, file incident reports for non-emergencies, request vacation watch, or contact a neighborhood police officer.

“This portal underscores the Lakewood Police Department’s commitment to enhancing their service to residents and visitors,” said Lakewood Police Chief Timothy Malley. “We ask that citizens begin to utilize the portal and share their experiences with us so that we may continue to improve it.”

The portal can be accessed online.

The portal does not replace the police department's phone lines. Residents can still call 911 to report an emergency or call 216-521-6773 to reach the Lakewood Police Department.
