Lakewood Police Search For Cell Phone Thief

LAKEWOOD, OH — A man stole a cell phone from a McDonald's employee in Lakewood on Sunday night, according to police records obtained by Patch. Investigators have surveillance images of the suspect.

The suspect snatched an Apple iPhone XR, worth $600, from an employee at the McDonald's on W. 117th Street. A manager at the restaurant reported the theft at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Investigators believe the suspect also stole a black flash drive that was with the phone.

Police believe the suspect may visit W. 117th Street, near the McDonald's, frequently.

McDonald's surveillance cameras captured the suspect. He appears to be wearing a jacket, with a hood, glasses, a draw-string backpack, and his face is partially obscured. Images of the suspect are below.
