Lakewood Politician: Ohio Secretary Of State 'Muzzling' Voters
State Senator Nickie Antonio believes Ohio should be accepting electronic ballot requests.
LAKEWOOD, OH — State Senator Nickie Antonio lambasted Secretary of State Frank LaRose this week.
Antonio, who calls Lakewood home, targeted LaRose after he refused to accept electronic absentee ballot requests ahead of the Nov. 3 election. The Ohio Tenth District Court of Appeals overturned a previous decision that would have forced LaRose to accept electronic requests.
“While a disappointing verdict, I am pleased that this ruling proved what Ohio Democrats have been saying all along: Secretary LaRose had and continues to wield the power to accept online ballot applications, yet he continues to obstruct our democratic process and muzzle Ohio voters," Antonio said in a statement.
