Lakewood Post Office Isn't Going Anywhere

LAKEWOOD, OH — A large sign outside the Lakewood post office reads "For Sale," with stickers boasting "sold" plastered atop the words. Residents seeing the sign have rightly wondered if the sale of the property will impact the post office. It will not, a post office representative told Patch.

"The lease at the Lakewood post office was recently signed and is good through August 2024. The sale of the building will not impact postal operations at this site," the representative said in an email.

The Lakewood post office is located at 1475 Warren Road.

The property housing the post office had been on the market since spring 2019. The site was being sold through Berkshire Hathaway. A spokesperson for the company confirmed the property had been sold. They said the site will change hands in "a couple of days."

The spokesperson did not respond when asked who had purchased the property.
