Lakewood Schools To Buy 2017 Jeep Wrangler

The district says it will use the vehicle for snow plowing in tight spaces and hauling. The 2017 Jeep will replace a 2003 Jeep.

LAKEWOOD, OH - The Lakewood School District is looking to purchase a 2017 Jeep Wrangler 4 x 4 for snow plowing in tight spaces and hauling. The district says it is currently accepting bids for the Jeep.

A spokesperson for the district said the 2017 Jeep would replace a 2003 Jeep the district has been using for a decade and a half. After all those years of use, the spokesperson said the Jeep is "really old" in an email to Patch.

The district is going to acquire the Jeep through a bidding process. Sealed bids are being accepted at the Lakewood City School Board of Education building, 1470 Warren Road. The bidding process will close at 11 a.m. on April 11.
