Lakewood State Of The City Set For March 7
Mayor Mike Summers will give the address at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Mayor Mike Summers will deliver the state of the city address on March 7. The speech will start at 7 p.m. at Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue. This will be Summers' eighth year as mayor of the suburb.
The city previewed the speech a little on its website, saying Summers' address will focus on the city's plan around the subject of resiliency and its ability to respond to future forces that could threaten Lakewood's development. Among the possible threats that could be discussed are political, environmental, economic development and social forces.
Last year's address was upbeat, with Summers focusing on the positive economic developments within Lakewood. The speech detailed the growth of residential income over time, steady municipal staffing levels, and the city's ability to avoid raising its income tax.
