Lakewood Thanksgiving 2021: Trash Delays, Municipal Closings
The holiday season is flying by and Thanksgiving is just a week away. Here's how Turkey Day could impact you in Lakewood.
LAKEWOOD, OH — Thanksgiving is upon us.
There will be no refuse or recycling collection on Thanksgiving Day. Instead, collection will be bumped up for some residents.
Lakewood residents who have their trash collected on Wednesday will need to have their refuse ready by Tuesday. Anyone who has their trash picked up on Thursday will instead have their trash collected on Wednesday.

Notable municipal closures:
- The Lakewood Community Fitness Center will be closed on both Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
- The Lakewood High School pool will be closed on Thanksgiving but reopens Friday.
- Lakewood Public Library will be closed Thanksgiving Day, but will reopen on Friday.
