LakewoodAlive to Host Loving Lakewood: Lumberjack Bash on February 25

Calling all lumberjacks and jills: Get ready to channel your flannel and dance your axe off!

LakewoodAlive announces it will host Loving Lakewood: Lumberjack Bash presented by Geiger’s on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at The Bottlehouse Brewery Lakewood (13368 Madison Avenue). Guests are cordially invited to grow their best beard, don their finest Lumberjack attire and attend LakewoodAlive’s annual winter fundraiser for a log-splitting good time.

Tickets for the Lumberjack Bash are on sale now and can be secured at LakewoodAlive.org. Proceeds will support LakewoodAlive’s programming as we strive to foster and sustain vibrant neighborhoods in Lakewood. Much like lumberjacks, we at LakewoodAlive are renowned for our work ethic and not afraid to roll up our sleeves and get the job done.

The Lumberjack Bash will feature lumberjack-themed food, drinks, décor and entertainment. Attendees will be chopping at the bit to consume pancakes and bacon-wrapped sausage links, sample a Blue Ox cocktail, enjoy live music and partake in games and activities fit for a true Lumberjack. One such activity – the Epic Beard Contest presented by Men’s Cuts – will afford contestants the opportunity to compete for the distinctions of having the best, longest and most unique beards.

For the ultimate lumberjack or jill, the VIP experience will have you jumping out of your boots. Enjoy axe-ceptional drinks (a Timber! or Flannel Warmer) and fare (bacon deviled eggs and a pancake station) that you’ll want to sink your saw into. Blaze a trail to early admission at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy two drink tickets, heavy hors d’oeuvres all night, complimentary valet parking and much, much more. Live entertainment will not be lacking; you’ll dance your axe off. You know, as a VIP lumberjack, you’ll be very plaid you came!

Includes entrance to the Lumberjack Bash at 7:30 p.m., complimentary valet parking, brunch-style heavy hors d’oeuvres (think pancakes and bacon-wrapped sausage links), one specialty drink ticket (Blue Ox cocktail, anyone?), live music and Lumberjack-themed games and activities.

No matter which ticket option you choose, you’ll be so plaid you came. Attending lumberjacks and jills are urged to wear casual, outdoorsy attire: Jeans, plaid flannel, suspenders, winter hats and boots. Beards (fake or otherwise), hearty appetites and shouts of “Timber!” are strongly-encouraged.
