Lakewood's Kids Cove Closing Till Memorial Day

The park will officially close for renovations on Oct. 2.

LAKEWOOD, OH - Kids Cove at Lakewood Park will be closing on Oct. 2. The city's goal is to re-open the playground by Memorial Day 2017.

The city is currently breaking ground on a $1 million playground in Lakewood Park.

Once complete, the size of the playground will increase to 1.43 acres. The new design will keep children ages 6 months to 12 years old playing near each other. The new, expanded playground will offer new equipment for different age groups and create a central area for parents to keep an eye on kids.
