Lakewood's Melt Bar And Grilled Expanding In Northeast Ohio

AVON, OH — Melt Bar and Grilled will open its 10th full-service location, in Avon, on Aug. 28. The restaurant chain announced its expansion into the city in April. Melt is replacing Bar 145 at 35546 Detroit Rd. The Lakewood-based restaurant chain is aggressively expanding throughout Ohio.

The Avon location will be one of the largest Melt locations. The restaurant has nearly 6,000 square feet of dining space and seating for 270 guests. The restaurant will feature a four-season room with garage doors that open onto an outdoor patio. Guests will be able to rent the four-season room for private parties. The room can hold up to 80 guests.

The opening of an Avon location comes hot on the heels of Melt's expansion into Dayton and Cedar Point. The Cedar Point location opened May 26 and the Dayton location opened June 12, according to a statement on Melt's website.

Additionally, Melt announced it would open its 11th location at Belden Village Mall in Canton, Ohio. “Canton is the birthplace of football,” said Matt Fish, founder, of Melt Bar and Grilled. “And we are ready to tee it up and kick off our eleventh Melt location there.”

Melt was founded in 2006 by Fish. The first location was in Lakewood, Ohio.The restaurant's focus was on gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. After starting as a local curiosity, the restaurant grew into a regional powerhouse with locations throughout Northeast Ohio.
