Lakewood's Tom Bullock Running For State Representative
The longtime city councilman announced his bid to replace the term-limited Nickie Antonio.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood City Councilman Tom Bullock announced his bid to become the next state representative for Ohio's 13th district. Current State Representative Nickie Antonio is term-limited and is now looking to become a State Senator.
Bullock is a longtime member of Lakewood City Council, serving as both the Ward 2 representative and an at-large councilman. He has been officially endorsed by the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party. The primary to determine the Democratic candidate for the open seat will be held May 8.
The major competition for Bullock will be current State Senator Michael Skindell, another Democrat. Also term-limited, Skindell will be looking to secure Antonio's former position. Skindell was also formerly a Lakewood City Councilman.

Antonio has served four terms as the representative for Ohio's 13th district. She is now term-limited and will run to become the Senator for Ohio Senate District 23. She is squaring off with Representative Martin Sweeney from Ohio's 14th district. Sweeney has received the endorsement from the Cuyahoga County Democratic party.
According to his city council profile, Bullock has a B.A. in government from American University in Washington, D.C. and an M.A. in Classics from the University of London.
