Learn About Lakewood's New Small Business Program

On May 2, the city will hold an informational session on its new small business grant program.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The city has created a new grant program to aid small businesses in Lakewood. The program is designed to help the launch or expansion of companies within the city.

To help residents and prospective entrepreneurs learn about the program, the city is holding an information session on May 2 at the Lakewood Library. From 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., in the library's Multipurpose Room, attendees can learn the ins and outs of the program. The event is free to attend.

The session will cover the application process and how entrepreneurs can connect their businesses to these funds. The city's grants will "cover the lesser of 15% or $50,000 of a given job-creating project -- additional funding is available through the SBA's loan programs," the city said on its website.
