Learn Phone Safety For Lakewood, Westlake Kids

Participants in the program will learn how to setup parental restrictions on Apple devices.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Technology has created dilemmas and struggles for parents that were totally unforeseen a generation ago. To help families navigate this quagmire, two local police departments are hosting a phone safety workshop for parents.

Lakewood and Westlake police will teach parents about safety controls in Apple phone devices and how to use them for children. Participants will learn how to setup restrictions on Apple phones and iPads, for kids.

The workshop is 90 minutes long and will be hosted in the Westlake Porter Public Library on April 10. The session will run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Space in the workshops is limited, police said.
