A Legislative Update from State Rep. Nickie Antonio
Putting families first, growing our economy and providing for a better quality of life for all Ohioans

For decades, many saw Ohio as a place to start a business or raise a family. I believe we need to continue to focus on the issues that truly matter—issues that put families first, grow our economy and provide for a better quality of life for all Ohioans.
I have passed legislation during my time as a Representative within the Ohio House of Representatives which dealt with the opioid epidemic, access to adoption records, protecting our children and rape survivors, to name a few.
I believe that when we invest in commonsense, pro-Ohio policies focused on working people and families, we can rebuild Ohio’s promise as the best place to live, work, go to school and raise a family.

That is why I have always fought hard to support local governments, create good paying jobs, protect workers’ rights, expand healthcare, make college more affordable, and ensure equal rights for all including women and members of the LGBTQ community.
Just this summer, I was honored to receive awards from the Ohio Farm Bureau for being a Friend of Agriculture and as legislative Advocate of the Year Award from the Ohio Dermatological Association. It is my honor to work with these organizations to be a steward of good policy making.
