A new event presented by Lifebanc, the Good Made Easy .01k could very well be the world’s shortest race. The race was designed to be easy to run – participants need travel a mere 32 feet – to demonstrate how easy it is to do good by becoming an organ, eye and tissue donor. During the race, participants will have the opportunity to learn about organ donation, as well as become part of the Ohio Organ Donor Registry.
The race is open to anyone. Participants can earn giveaways – water bottles, coozies, bags, bottle openers, sweat bands and more – based on their level of participation. In addition to the course for the world’s easiest race, each Good Made Easy .01k event will also include the world’s easiest cornhole game, featuring targets that are at least three times wider than those on regulation cornhole boards.
Traditionally, organ, eye and tissue donation has been viewed as a conflicting and weighty issue – a commitment that’s difficult to make. Lifebanc wanted to demonstrate just how easy it is to do something good by registering to become a donor. The Good Made Easy campaign includes not only the .01k event, but also television, print, and digital advertisements promoting how easy it is to do good by becoming an organ, eye and tissue donor. The objective of the campaign is to raise awareness of the need for organ donation, as well as the simplicity of checking the organ donation box. Ultimately, Lifebanc’s goal is to increase the number of organ donors in Northeast Ohio.
