MAKE MUSIC: CLEVELAND in LAKEWOOD
The Global Event comes to Our Neighborhood! Tuesday, June 21, 2016. 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Free and Open to ALL!
“Make Music: Cleveland in Lakewood” – a Festival of diversity, community and music – will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 21st. 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
(14321 Detroit Avenue, in the heart of beautiful dowtown Lakewood!)
This outdoor event will be offered as a gift to the community without admission cost!

The evening’s programs will include a diverse mix of musical offerings. In addition, there’ll be family-friendly games, attractions, and concessions, for those who’d like to purchase “a beverage or a bite!”

+ ShowPeace Entertainment (Hip Hop and Break Dancing)
+ Victor Samalot (Latin Guitarist)
+ The Tower City Chorus (Barbershop Chorus)
+ The Lakewood Choir of Churches
+ The Karen Bamboo Dancers of Lakewood Baptist Church.
In addition: Local instrumentalists of all ages are invited to participate in a special “Sousa-Palooza” performance being shared as part of this event! SousaPalooza participants need to arrive at the church by 6:30 pm. No advance rehearsal is needed!

“Make Music: Cleveland in Lakewood” is being held in conjunction with the larger city-wide celebration, “Make Music: Cleveland.”

“Make Music Day” is a global event held each year on June 21, the Summer Solstice. “Make Music” began with France’s Fête de la Musique, a national musical holiday inaugurated in 1982.
Since that time, the Festival has become an international phenomenon, celebrated in more than 800 cities in 110 countries, including Germany, Italy, Egypt, Syria, Morocco, Australia, Vietnam, Congo, Cameroon, Fiji, Colombia, Chile, Nepal, and Japan.
