Man Arrested After Shooting Threat in Lakewood Aldi

During an argument over line-cutting, a man threatened to shoot another customer at and Aldi on West 117 Street.

LAKEWOOD, OH — A man is facing charges after threatening to shoot another customer at an Aldi grocery store in Lakewood, reported Cleveland.com.

A cashier at an Aldi on West 117 Street called police Sunday night after overhearing an argument between two customers. During the argument, one of the customers called a friend waiting in the parking lot and said, "bring in the gun," Lakewood Police Captain Ed Hassing told Cleveland.com. A third man then entered the store and joined the argument, according to police. Although the cashier claimed the man threatened to shoot the other customer, no gun was pulled during the argument.

When officers arrived at the store, the two men fled the store and ran down West 117 Street. The man who started the argument was arrested around 7 p.m. behind a home on West 122 Street. The other man managed to avoid the police, reported Cleveland.com.
