Man Found Dead In Lakewood Park

LAKEWOOD, OH — A man was found dead in Lakewood Park on Monday. His body was found in a tree, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Lakewood Police confirmed that a man's body was found dead in the park on Monday, in what appears to be a suicide. They said there was no sign of trauma or assault on the man's body.

People walking in the park discovered the man's body at 5:30 a.m. on Monday. They alerted a park employee, who then contacted police.

The Medical Examiner's Office said the man likely died on Monday, the same day his body was discovered in the park. Lakewood Police are still waiting for an official ruling from the Medical Examiner's Office.

Lakewood Park is a popular site for families in the city. The park will play host to the city's annual Summer Solstice and July 4th celebrations. The park also holds the Kids Cove playground and Foster Pool.
