Meet Lakewood Police During Coffee With a Cop Friday Morning

LAKEWOOD, OH - If you've ever wanted to have a conversation with one of your local police officers, your chance will soon be here.

Lakewood police are participating in the national Coffee with a Cop initiative. Officers will setup at Einstein's Bagels, 14615 Detroit Ave., on Oct. 14. They'll be available for a chat from 7 to 9 a.m.

Coffee with a Cop Day is a national initiative supported by The United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The concept goes hand in hand with the department's ongoing "Community Conversations." With no agenda and no speeches, both Coffee with a Cop Day and "Community Conversations" allow for a casual atmosphere where the citizens and the officers who serve them get to know each other on a more personal level.
