LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood residents will have a chance to meet and speak with candidates for local office during a free open house event on August 27. The event is open to the public, with no RSVPs required.

The Meet the Candidates open house is being hosted by the League of Women Voters and Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held at the Lakewood Public Library's multi-purpose room from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The evening will give voters a chance to familiarize themselves with candidates prior to the September 10 primary.

After the primary is decided, a Candidates Forum will be held September 25 at Lakewood City Hall's auditorium. Candidates running in the November election will discuss their vision for the city and their objectives for their time in office. Audience members will be given the chance to ask questions of candidates.

The Candidates Forum will also be free and open to the public.
