Meet Lakewood's Educator Of The Year
The Lakewood Council of PTAs selected a Lakewood High School teacher for the 2017-2018 iteration of the award.

LAKEWOOD, OH — An Intervention Specialist at Lakewood City Schools has been named both the district's Educator of the Year and the Ohio PTA's District 11 Educator of the Year. Sarah Csongei was recognized for her work during an awards ceremony on May 2.
Csongei works in the MILES special education classroom at Lakewood High. “I am so honored to be recognized for the work that I do with such a unique population of students,” said Csongei. “I would not be able to do my job without the amazing support of my fellow MILES teachers, Rachel Bonsky, Jess David, and Cory Streets, or the tireless help of all of the paraprofessionals in the MILES unit.”
The nomination form for Csongei said she “creates a positive and engaging learning environment for all her students….is a strong advocate for her students -and an inspiration within LHS and LHS PTA.”
