Meet The Trucks In Lakewood On June 3

LAKEWOOD, OH — The city's annual Meet the Trucks event will return June 3 at Lakewood Park. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids and families will be able to see all of the trucks that power and support Lakewood, including firetrucks, dump trucks, ambulances, SWAT vehicles, and more. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will also serve as a kind of grand opening for the renovated and rebuild Kids Cove Park. With brand new equipment for kids to enjoy, the playground has been expanded, there is new lighting around the park's paths, new landscaping, new equipment, a new backstop fence at the ball field, and many other improvements.

During the Meet the Trucks event, kids will be able to see up-close all of the city's vehicles. And, yes, that does mean they'll be able to blow each vehicles' horn. There will also be a DJ, raffles, police safety training for children, bounce houses, face painting, and appearances from Spider-Man and Elsa.

Parents at the event won't have to go hungry while their youngsters go wild. Angelos Pizza, India Garden, Touch Supper Club Food Truck, and Sweet Spot Food Truck will all be on-hand. There will also be popcorn, snowcones, and cotton candy available.
