Membership For New Lakewood Recreation Facility Being Accepted

LAKEWOOD, OH — The Lakewood Recreation Department will move from its current offices to the new athletic facility at Lakewood High School, the city confirmed to Patch. Residents can also start signing up for membership at the new facility, which will open to the public on Jan. 9.

The Recreation Department was formerly located at offices on Warren Road. Residents can still acquire membership applications for the high school facility at the old office. Membership at the new facility is $27 a month for an adult resident ($270 for the year), $15 a month for senior resident ($150 a year), and $45 a month for a family of two adults and two kids between the ages of 14 and 17.

The Lakewood High facility will feature an indoor track, treadmills, ellipticals, spin bikes, weightlifting equipment and core equipment. However, the track will be closed whenever the high school is in-session or has any scheduled school events.

The new facility's hours are below:

Fitness facility:

• Saturdays: 7:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.
• Sundays: 8:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.
• Mondays - Fridays: 6:00 a.m. — 9:00 p.m.

Indoor track (during the summer and non-school days)

• Saturdays: 7:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.
• Sundays: 8:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.
• Mondays - Fridays: 6:00 a.m. — 9:00 p.m.

Indoor track (during the school year)

• Mondays - Fridays: 6:00 a.m. — 8:00 a.m.
• Mondays - Fridays: 4:30 p.m. — 9:00 p.m.
