LAKEWOOD, OH — Two people were taken into custody on Saturday after a gun was fired into the air during a fight on Robinwood Avenue, Lakewood police said. Investigators released additional information on the incident on Tuesday morning.
About 10:30 p.m. Saturday, callers reported a fight at a home on Robinwood Avenue. While officers were headed to the area, they were told someone had fired a gun.
When police arrived they quickly determined no one was hurt, and that a fight had started because three people were being loud while the rest of the party was playing cards.

During the argument, a Cleveland man fired a semi-automatic pistol into the air approximately eight times, police said. Officers found the gun at the home. The man later told officers he had no intention of hurting anyone, according to a Lakewood police spokesperson.
Police took the 60-year-old Cleveland man into custody on suspicion of illegally firing the gun. While he was being arrested, the owner of the Robinwood home argued with police and tried to stop them from taking the man into custody, police said.
