Need A Bicycle? Lakewood Auctioning Them Off
The city has opened bidding on six bicycles.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Looking for a bicycle? The city of Lakewood is auctioning off six bikes that have come into the possession of the police department recently. Bidding opened Nov. 29 but will not close until Dec. 13.
The city said in a statement posted online that the bikes are found by Lakewood cops. Some of the bicycles have been impounded, others were abandoned. Each bike is held for at least 90 days, with no one claiming it, before going to auction.
The bikes do not have a registered bike license and were not sought by any owner. The city says it has no other way to track down an owner. So now the bikes go to auction.
