New Businesses Coming To Madison Avenue
Three new tenants have been announced for a commercial space in one of Lakewood's busiest districts.

LAKEWOOD, OH — There could be three new tenants at a Madison Avenue office building soon. The city said that a new Allstate Agency and Office, Euro Gyro and possibly a tattoo shop could be coming to 13427 Madison.
"We are excited to see another major investment in a commercial building on Madison Avenue. The new owners of the property are bringing energy to the reuse of the building, and finding tenants that will add to the vibrancy of the neighborhood," said Bryce Sylvester, Lakewood's director of planning and development in an email to Patch.
The possible tattoo shop, Cleveland Tattoo, had its conditional use approved by the Planning Commission and could open in the spring. The owner of the business did not respond to a request for comment from Patch.

Lakewood officials have been focusing on building up the Madison Avenue corridor, hoping to mirror some of the success of Detroit Avenue.
"This section of Madison Avenue has seen a lot of activity in the last couple of years. Bottle House Brewery, WoodStock, Rising Star Coffee, and the major renovation at Scalish Construction are a few examples of major projects in this commercial area. Additionally, Waterbury Coach House is on the Architectural Board of Review docket this month to rebrand its restaurant and do some exterior improvements," Sylvester said.

The city is excited about the possible anchor for the Madison Avenue business district: the Western Reserve Distillery. Still in its construction phase, the project could be the rising tide that lifts all other Lakewood-based boats.
