New Year's Will Impact Trash Collection In Lakewood
The holiday will mean collection crews will double up on Thursday.

LAKEWOOD, OH —New Year's Day will delay trash collection for one day in Lakewood, the city announced. Crews will double up their work on Thursday to catch-up this week.
According to the city, there will be no refuse or recycling collection on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Residents who have their trash picked-up on Wednesday should instead set their bins out on Thursday. Crews will collect Wednesday and Thursday routes on Jan. 2.
Residents who have their trash collected on Monday, Tuesday and Friday will not be impacted by the holiday.

The Lakewood fitness facility, and recreation offices, will close early on Tuesday (at 6 p.m.) and will remain closed through Jan. 1. The facility will re-open Jan. 2.
Lakewood Public Library will also close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and will remain closed on Wednesday.
