Nikki Delamotte Fundraiser, Candle Light Vigil Scheduled
Lakewood's Side Quest will host the fundraiser, while Edgewater Park will be home to the candlelight vigil.

LAKEWOOD, OH — On Monday, Cleveland lost one of its finest young journalists, Nikki Delamotte. To help her family in its time of need, the Side Quest is hosting a fundraiser that will directly benefit Delamotte's mother and partner. A candlelight vigil will also be held this week to honor Delamotte's memory.
The fundraiser will be held Friday, November 16, at 7 p.m. Side Quest will donate 15 percent of all sales that night to the family. There will also be raffle baskets and other ways to donate.
"The Cleveland community lost an amazing person last night to a senseless act of violence. Nikki Delamotte was a smart, talented, kind, woman. Join us to give back, and help her family and friends in this difficult time," Side Quest said on its event page for the fundraiser.

One of Delamotte's oldest friends, Brittney Orcutt, is heading up the fundraiser. The two had known each other since 9th grade, Kelly Quest told Patch.
Nearly 200 people have already said they're going to attend the event, with another 575 saying they're interested. More information can be found on the event's Facebook page.

For those that can't make the Friday event, there's a candlelight vigil planned for Edgewater Park on Thursday. That event will start at 6:30 p.m. Attendees should bundle up, because it's expected to be chilly. Guests should also bring their own candles.
Finally, a GoFundMe has been setup to benefit Delamotte's loved ones. That can be found by clicking here.
