A politician's best friend is a newspaper with a bad memory. The Plain Dealer's endorsement of Dennis Kucinich over Richard Cordray for the Democratic nomination is reckless, foolish and shortsighted.
Forty years ago, they editorialized calling his mayoral tenure "the height of irresponsibility." Now they say he is one of two best choices for Governor of Ohio.
Dennis has not changed in 40 years. He barely got into Congress after three tries where he did virtually nothing except help a museum and name a couple of post offices.

Despite fanfare, he never kept one hospital open. He failed two quixotic presidential runs, insists he has seen a UFO, sued his own government for an olive pit in a sandwich, shamefully embraced Syria's Assad in 2011 when Assad's murder rate was 1,300, and just tried to hide a speech helping Assad supporters when the body count is now more than 400,000.
The only time he actually governed anything was as Mayor when Cleveland defaulted.

Tim Hagan, a real Democrat once said of Dennis "There is no way in hell anyone can call Dennis Kucinich a Democrat" - not even the Plain Dealer.
