What is a rivalry without lots of excitement? 

Where there is  and St. Ignatius athletes (and fans) in the same building you get both. 

And it was a thriller.

The gym at St. Edward was packed — crowds of people huddled in the corner of the gym trying to get a peek at the game. Some even stood in the lobby. 

The Eagles — led by Elijah Brown with 20 points — had control throughout most of the game. And pulled away in the end.

The victory gave St. Edward the season sweep over arch-rival St. Ignatius. The Eagles  on Jan 28 by a much larger mark of 62-46.

Before a standing-room-only crowd, the Eagles won the contest 73-65.
