Plans Approved For One Lakewood Place Development
Demolition of the interior of the former Lakewood Hospital will continue through mid-June.

LAKEWOOD, OH - Plans for the One Lakewood Place development have been unanimously approved by the Architectural Board of Review and Planning Commission. The project has now headed to Lakewood City Council for consideration.
The first introduction of the proposal was held Monday. A second public meeting on the project will be held June 10 in the auditorium at Lakewood City Hall.
The $72 million project will convert the former 5.2 acre Lakewood Hospital site into a mix of residential units, office space, and shops. Carnegie Development & Management is overseeing the project.

During the meeting with the ABR, Bryce Sylvester, Lakewood's director of planning and development, said a month of meetings is expected before the project goes to vote with city council. The goal is still, he said, to break ground on the site before the end of the year.
It was also revealed during the ABR meeting that negotiations between Carnegie and a not-yet-named anchor tenant are ongoing. An official from Carnegie also said the fundamental proposal going before city council will not change, but some details, like signage, may be altered.
