Police Blotter: Gun Point Robbery, Marijuana Smokers and Phantom Squirrel
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Phantom rodent
A woman called police at 6:18 p.m. July 8 and reported that a squirrel had run underneath her living room radiator which prevented her from shooing it out. When officers arrived, the woman admitted never actually seeing the animal and one could not be located at the Orchard Grove residence.

A man called police at 5:13 p.m. July 8 after walking by a large group of teenagers who appeared to be smoking marijuana. The kids were huddled around a picnic table on the east side of Roosevelt Elementary when the man smelled what he believed to be the illegal drug. By the time officers had responded, the teenagers had fled.
Wandering woman

On 2:31 p.m. July 9, dispatchers received a call about a woman wandering around Warren Road near Detroit Avenue. Passers by complained that the woman was talking to herself and yelling at motorists. Officers escorted her onto an RTA bus, and sent her home.
Complaint
A man called police at 12:13 p.m. July 9 when he discovered someone had written a message in chalk across his vehicle that was parked on Woodward Avenue. The message suggested that the man buy a new car. There was no damage to the car, and police advised him to wash the chalk off.
Man robbed at gunpoint
At 8:51 p.m. July 10, a man claimed he was robbed outside of his apartment on Giel Avenue at gunpoint. The two assailants – one black, one white – hit the man in the back of the head, took his wallet and ran off. The police were unable to locate the men, and are currently investigating the incident.
