Pools Filled With Water In Lakewood, Opening Soon
The city's municipal pools have been filled up, another important signal that summer is indeed on its way.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Nothing says summer quite like a community swimming pool. Neighbors will hear the joyful, shouting voices of children at play. The glimmering, chlorine-filled blue water will beckon whenever pedestrians and motorists pass by. And luckily, Lakewood's pools have just been re-filled.
The pools aren't open to the public quite yet, though. Becks Pool will open June 1 at 11 a.m. Foster Pool will open a week later, on June 8, at 8:15 a.m. That means there's still time to snag pool passes, schedule swimming lessons, or buy that new swimsuit.
Buying an individual pool pass for the season will cost different amounts based on your age. Here's the cost breakdown:

- Student Pass (ages 7-17): $30/resident; $60/non-resident
- Adult Pass (ages 18-59): $40/resident; $80/non-resident
- Senior Pass (ages 60+): $5/resident; $55/non-resident
Family passes are also available for purchase at the following costs:
- First Adult Pass (ages 18-59): $40/resident; $80/non-resident
- Second Adult Pass (ages 18-59): $30/resident; $60/non-resident
- First student (ages 7-17): $30/resident; $60/non-resident
- Each additional student (ages 7-17): $15/resident; $30/non-resident

There are also daily admission fees, if someone does not have a season pass.
- Children 6 and under are free with paid swimming adult
- Student admission: $3.50(resident)/$4.50(non-resident)
- Adult admission: $4.00(resident)/$5.50(non-resident)
- Senior admission: $1.00(resident)/$4.50(non-resident)
For those that need instruction on how to swim prior to jumping into the pool, rest easy. Weekday and weekend sessions are available to residents and non-residents alike. Foster Pool at Lakewood Park offers morning and afternoon classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Becks Pool at Madison Park also offers morning classes that meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There are also evening classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at Becks. If none of those dates work, there are also Saturday and Sunday morning classes available.
