Possible Gas Leak Forced Senior Home To Evacuate In Rocky River
A resident of the facility smelled natural gas on Sunday night. Forty-two people were then evacuated that evening.

ROCKY RIVER, OH — The smell of natural gas prompted an evacuation of a Rocky River senior home on Sunday night. Residents have since returned to their rooms and no one was hurt during the incident.
A two-hour search and investigation found that a Pilot light on a rooftop unit had gone out, causing the gas smell, Lakewood Fire Chief Scott Gilman told News 5. The gas line to the facility was briefly shut down while fire crews searched the building.
Forty-two residents from the facility were evacuated from the building. They waited for the all-clear in ambulances and RTA buses, Fox 8 said.
