Raising Cane's Lakewood Sets Opening Date
The restaurant will begin serving customers later this month.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Raising Cane's will open its first Lakewood restaurant on September 24, the company announced this week. Construction on the chicken joint started in mid-May.
Located at 14115 Detroit Avenue — where Bob Evans used to stand — Lakewood's location will be only the second Raising Cane's in the Cleveland area. The restaurant chain opened a Strongsville franchise last summer.
Raising Cane's Lakewood will hire approximately 100 people for part-time and full-time positions. Earlier this year, Eric Ongaro, the president of Raising Cane's Ohio and the franchisee opening the Detroit Avenue site, said Lakewood was an ideal market.

“We have found the perfect location in Lakewood, just west of downtown,” said Ongaro. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring Caniacs in the area a Raising Cane’s to call their own. Along with sharing our ONE LOVE with everyone in the area, our team will be dedicated to getting involved in the local community. We look forward to assembling an enthusiastic crew to join us in serving the Lakewood area.”
Raising Cane's spokespersons told Patch they would release more information on the grand opening closer to September 24.
