Ranger Marching Band Festival Sept. 21

6 high school bands plus Bowling Green band to perform

The Lakewood High School Ranger Marching Band has been working hard since June to prepare for game days as well as a performance at one of the District's highlight events of the year - the annual Lakewood High School Marching Band Festival. The festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 at First Federal Lakewood Stadium.

The Parade of Bands begins at 6 pm, followed by on-field performances by each band starting at 6:30 pm. The Ranger Marching Band, led by director Clinton Steinbrunner and assistant director John Blasko, will be joined at the festival by bands from Berkshire (Burton), Brush (South Euclid/Lyndhurst), Garfield Heights, Margaretta (Castalia), and Riverside (Painesville) high schools plus the Bowling Green State University band.

The festival, with its toe-tapping music and marching moves, is a great family event. Tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for students, and free for children 5 and under.

This is the band’s largest fundraiser of the year so please come out and give your support. There will be concessions and chance to win cash in the 50/50 raffle.

Another great marching band event coming in September is the Alumni Ranger Marching Band Night, to be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Ranger Homecoming Game versus North Olmsted. The alumni will combine with the current band for an exciting halftime finale performance of “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. There will also be a special reunion Homecoming Weekend for the 40th anniversary of the Ranger Marching Band's trip to England.
