Reminder: Lakewood Snow Parking Ban Impacts Main Thoroughfares

If there's snowfall of four inches in 24 hours, don't park on Detroit and other main streets.

LAKEWOOD, OH - You survived the first round of snow. Congratulations are likely in order. However, as the winter season rolls on, we can only expect more of the fluffy white stuff and slick ice. So, even if you're planning on slipping and sliding your way up Detroit on foot, it will be useful to keep in mind where you can and cannot park your car.

Streets with signs announcing the road as a Snow Parking Ban site cannot be used for parking whenever there is heavy snow (four inches in 24 hours). Most of the streets that prohibit snow parking are main arteries, including:

  • Athens Avenue (Carabel to Lincoln)
  • Belle Avenue (Madison to Lake),
  • Berea Road (Horseshoe Bridge to W. 117th)
  • Bunts Road (Lakewood Heights Boulevard to Clifton Boulevard)
  • Clifton Boulevard (Webb to W. 117th)
  • Delaware Avenue (McKinely to Brown)
  • Detroit Avenue (Gridley to W. 117th)
  • Lake Avenue (Webb to W. 117th)
  • Lakewood Heights Boulevard (Woodward to Horseshoe Bridge)
  • Madison Avenue (Riverside to W. 117th)
  • Riverside Drive (Sloane to Fischer)
  • 117th Street (Berea to Edgewater)
  • Warren Road (Lakewood Heights Boulevard to Clifton Boulevard)

Parking on those roads during a storm will get you towed.
