Riverside Drive Resurfacing Starts May 9 In Lakewood

All southbound traffic on Riverside will be detoured, the city of Lakewood said.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Riverside Drive will begin being resurface on May 9, the city announced.

Riverside is being resurface between Graber Drive and Daleview Avenue. The work, like nearly all construction, is weather permitting.

While construction is going on, Riverside traffic will be one way only: north. Southbound traffic will be detoured throughout the project, the city said.

Crews will be milling and overlaying the existing pavement, doing preform base repairs, upgrading deficient curb ramps, and replacing pavement marking and signage. The curb ramps will be brought up to current ADA standards, the city said.

"Road construction invariably presents hazards to the public. Please use caution in the construction zones. Your safety and the safety of the workers are our greatest concern," the city of Lakewood said on its website.
