Rocky River Hosting Upcoming Event on Dealing with Opiate Epidemic

The Nov. 9 discussion will focus on intervention from the patient, family and community perspective, and more.

ROCKY RIVER, OH - A recent Senate report called Ohio the "face of the opioid epidemic." It's a moniker that sadly fits.

According to the CDC, Ohio is leading the nations in accidental heroin overdoses. The Greater Cleveland Drug Court and Rocky River Municipal Court are presenting a community discussion called “Parking the Ambulance at the Top of the Cliff” on Nov. 9, 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Rocky River Memorial Hall (Civic Center – 21016 Hilliard Blvd.). It is open and free to all.

The discussion will focus on intervention from the patient, family and community perspective, what long-term recovery will require, and the community resources that are available.
