Rocky River Imagination Teams Head To State Competition

The team qualified to compete at the Destination Imagination global competition after placing second at the state contest.

From Rocky River MS: A Rocky River Middle School team qualified to compete at the Destination Imagination global competition after placing second at the state contest.

Team Magna Virtue – fifth grader Beatrix Stickney and seventh grader Hugo Stickney – placed second out of 11 teams at the state competition in Mount Vernon, earning them the opportunity to compete at Globals in May in Knoxville, Tennessee. Their Unlikely Attraction challenge explored three scientific principles while designing and building an amusement attraction.

Team Techno Bunnies – eighth graders Dasara Beta and Sophia Mural, and seventh grader Anna Rouphail – also competed, describing their community service project Shower Up! that provides shower supplies for the homeless. The team placed fourth out of nine teams.
