Rocky River Park Trail Completely Rebuilt
The Cleveland Metroparks said the West Channel Pond has been overhauled to add elevated, accessible boardwalks.

ROCKY RIVER, OH — The Rocky River Reservation's West Channel Pond was recently completely rebuilt, the Cleveland Metroparks announced. The overhauled trail now features elevated, accessible boardwalks.
The new boardwalks surround the area's wetlands and the West Channel Pond. The park system said the trail was redone to allow for safe exploration, while increasing the "footprint of the important wetland habitat."
The Metroparks said that additional restoration in the area will improve plant and wildlife habitats. "The trail is a great place to observe beavers and birds year-round as well as reptiles and amphibians in the summer months," the park system said.

The Rocky River Reservation's Fort Hill area was named one of the 10 best places to see fall color during the autumn season. While the calendar has flipped to November, there's still time to get out and see the kaleidoscope of flaming colors adorning Ohio trees.
