Rules, Finance Committees Meeting In Lakewood On Monday
The Rules & Ordinances Committee will discuss improving access to and transparency of public records.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The Lakewood Rules & Ordinances Committee will meet Monday at 5:30 p.m. The group will discuss two proposed ordinances: a proposal to make access to public records easier and more transparent, and a proposal to require all dogs in city parks to be registered with the county fiscal officer and to wear a registration tag.
The meeting will be held in the east conference room, near the auditorium, in Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue. The meetings are open to the public and free to attend. The committee will also approve the minutes from its last meeting in June.

ORDINANCE 16-19 - AN ORDINANCE enacting new Chapter 110, Access Public Records, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to create transparency and timely easy-of-access to public records and set requirements for the city’s online public records request system. (Placed on 1st reading and referred to Rules & Ordinances Committee 5/20/19; 2nd reading 6/3/19)
ORDINANCE 25-19 - AN ORDINANCE repealing 905.07 Animals, and enacting a new 905.07 Animals which require that all dogs in any park be registered with the County Fiscal Officer and wear a registration tag. (Placed on 1st reading and referred to Rules & Ordinances Committee 9/3/19; 2nd reading 9/16/19)
The Lakewood Finance Committee will also meet on Monday night, starting at 6:30 p.m. The group will gather in the same east conference room.
The Finance Committee will primarily be discussing the 2020 budget priority process on Monday.
