Dunkin' Donuts Recalls Glass Tumblers Over Risk of Cut, Burns

Dunkin' Donuts is recalling three glass tumblers sold at stores nationwide. They are at risk of cracking, which can cut or burn users.

If you're a Dunkin' Donuts regular customer, check your kitchen cupboards or workspace for a glass tumbler sold by the coffee and doughnut chain. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says the stores have issued a voluntary nationwide recall for the glass, which can crack or break, posing a risk of cuts and burns. Dunkin Donuts has received 19 reports of the glass tumblers cracking or breaking, but no injuries have been reported, officials said.

This recall involves 16-ounce glass tumblers for hot and cold beverages, sold in three styles. They are about 8 inches tall and about 3 inches in diameter. The first style has “BUT FIRST, DUNKIN” written in white type on the inside layer of glass, a clear lid and pink plastic where the lid connects with the base of the tumbler. The second style has “BUT FIRST, DUNKIN” written in white font on the inside layer of glass, a clear lid and orange plastic where the lid connects with the base of the tumbler. The third style has a black and gray plaid pattern on the inside layer of glass, a black silicone grip with the letters “DD” embossed on it and a black lid.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled tumblers and return them to the Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant where they purchased they for a full refund.
