Within the state of Ohio, the Buckeyes mopped up. Five of the state's top 10 recruits are going to Ohio State. That includes:
- 4-star offensive guard Josh Meyers from Miamisburg;
- Brendon White, a 4-star athlete from Olentangy Liberty;
- Amir Riep, 4-star cornerback from Colerain;
- Jaylen Harris, 4-star wide receiver from Cleveland Heights
- Marcus Williamson, 4-star cornerback from IMG Academy
The Buckeyes will be looking to improve on their successful but titleless season. The team made it to the College Football Playoffs before being absolutely dominated by eventual national champion Clemson. The Tigers manhandled the Buckeyes on their way to a 31-0 win.
