Ariana Grande Benefit Concert Set For Sunday In Manchester
Grande will be joined by Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Pharrell among other performers in the Manchester benefit.

BOCA RATON, FL — One week after a suicide bomber set off an improvised explosive device outside her Manchester, England, concert, killing 22 and injuring dozens more, pop singer Ariana Grande confirmed she will return to the "incredibly brave city of Manchester" on Sunday for a benefit concert. She will also be joined by a few friends, including Justin Bieber and the band Coldplay. Organizers hope to raise more than $2.5 million.
"Grandaritour, Inc will donate the net proceeds from the concert to the British Red Cross Society, a registered charity, for its 'Manchester Emergency Fund' supporting the victims of the Manchester bombing," according to a link from Grande's tour website to the concert page.

The singer broke her silence on Friday with a promise to return to Manchester for a benefit, but Grande did not say at that time when the concert would take place. She said she wanted to raise money for the 22 victims who died in the attack and the dozens more who were injured.

"I don't want to go the rest of the year without being able to see and hold and uplift my fans, the same way they continue to uplift me," penned Grande, who returned to Boca Raton, where she grew up, on a private jet with her mother, Joan.
"There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better. However, I extend my hand and heart and everything I possibly can give to you and yours, should you want or need my help in any way," she said. "The only thing we can do now is choose how we let this affect us and how we live our lives from here on out."

"The way you have handled all of this has been more inspiring and made me more proud than you'll ever know," she said on Friday in a note to fans. "The compassion, kindness, love, strength and oneness that you've shown one another this past week is the exact opposite of the heinous intentions it must take to pull off something as evil as what happened Monday. YOU are the opposite."
