Scarecrow Festival Returns To Lakewood In October

The 8th Annual Kiwanis Scarecrow Fest will fill Madison Avenue with scarecrows.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The 8th Annual Lakewood Kiwanis Scarecrow Festival will still bring a season of festiveness to Madison Avenue in October.

"As a community, we have supported each other through these recent difficult times. Now it’s time to have some fun together and stay safe," the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce said in an email about the event.

This year's festival will take place from Oct. 11 through Oct. 25. The cost for entering a scarecrow in the contest is $25. All of the money for the event remains in Lakewood and supports Kiwanis causes.

"This is your chance to bring a school lesson, or a family activity to life. Have people take notice of your storefront by building a scarecrow that is unique to your business. The possibilities are endless!" the chamber said.

To register for this year's festival, visit the Kiwanis website.
