The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Lakewood.

Hey, Lakewood! I'm back with your new edition of the Lakewood Daily. Let's get this Tuesday started off right, with a quick review of everything you need to know about what's going on in town these days...

First, today's weather:

Times of clouds and sun. High: 66 Low: 60.

Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:

  1. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the OhioMeansJobs released data that claims there are 20,000 more positions available in the state than unemployed individuals. Ohio's unemployment rate dropped down to 4 percent in April, the lowest rate since June 2019, but employers are still struggling to fill positions. Matt Imwalle, manager of Lakewood USPS, stated that they plan on hosting job fairs once or twice a week at several locations. (News 5 Cleveland WEWS)
  2. Lakewood native Jeremiah Fitzgerald came in first at the 2022 Cleveland Marathon on Sunday with a time of two hours, 31 minutes, and three seconds. Fitzgerald finished seven minutes faster than the second-place winner, Josh Baker. Fitzgerald came in first last year as well. (cleveland.com)
