Shots Fired During Robbery In Lakewood: Police

LAKEWOOD, OH — Gunshots rang out on Delaware Avenue on Thursday, during a robbery, police said. Luckily, no one was injured during the incident.

Callers reported that someone was firing a gun on Delaware, near Hilda Avenue, at approximately 1:40 p.m. on Thursday. Officers rushed to the scene.

Once police were on the scene, they located and spoke with a person who said they had been robbed. The suspects had taken off before officers arrived. Police searched the area but could not locate the suspects.

Investigators determined several shots were fired during the incident. The victim was not injured in the robbery, though.

The robbery remains under investigation, police said, and further details have not yet been released.
